What data does the app use?

To assess Cash-on-Delivery (COD) risk and provide fraud-prevention insights, Peakrix processes only limited order-related information strictly required for functionality:

• Customer phone number
• Delivery address and postal/ZIP code
• Order value and payment method type
• Order timestamps and velocity indicators
• Hashed or anonymized device/session identifiers for duplicate order detection

Peakrix does not collect payment card details, passwords, or unrelated personal data.

Why is this data used?

This data is used solely to:

• Reduce failed COD deliveries
• Minimize Return-To-Origin (RTO) losses
• Provide risk scores and fulfillment insights
• Improve fraud-detection accuracy

What the app does NOT do

• Does not sell or share customer data
• Does not use data for advertising or marketing
• Does not automatically cancel or modify orders
• Does not affect prepaid orders
• Does not access unrelated Shopify store data

Data Storage & Security

All information is protected using industry-standard security practices:

• HTTPS encrypted data transmission
• Encrypted databases at rest
• Role-based access controls
• Limited internal staff access
• Continuous security logging and monitoring

Server & Storage Location

Application data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure located in: Singapore (Southeast Asia). Hosting provider: AWS / DigitalOcean / Render / Railway.

Third-Party Services

The Peakrix may use limited third-party providers strictly for operational purposes, including:

• Cloud hosting providers
• Error monitoring services
• Email notification services
• Performance analytics tools

These providers do not use merchant or customer data for advertising purposes.

Merchant Control

• COD protection can be turned ON/OFF anytime from Settings
• Risk decisions always include explanations
• Orders can be overridden from Shopify Admin
• Uninstalling the app immediately stops processing

Data Retention

Data is retained only as long as necessary for fraud-risk analysis and operational security. Upon uninstall or verified deletion request, personally identifiable data is permanently deleted or anonymized unless legally required otherwise.

User Rights (GDPR & Privacy Laws)

Merchants and customers may request access, correction, or deletion of their data. Requests are handled in accordance with Shopify's official data access and erasure mechanisms and applicable privacy regulations.

Shopify Compliance

Peakrix complies with Shopify's API Terms of Use and Shopify's Data Protection Addendum (DPA) applicable to app developers.

Data Deletion Process

Upon receiving a verified deletion request from Shopify, a merchant, or a customer, all personally identifiable data associated with that request is permanently removed or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe.

This Privacy & Data Usage Policy may be updated periodically to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
